Green Cardamom

A seed pod with a sweet, spicy flavor, used in drinks, desserts, and tempering

Black Cardamom

These seeds are dried over a fire, giving them a smoky flavor. Very earthy and darkly aromatic. Often used in Indian curries. Used as a tempering spice. Commonly added to biryanis 

Cumin

An elongated, dried pod with a strong aroma and flavor. Used in curries, snacks, and tarka. Roasted and powdered cumin has a warm, nutty taste. Commonly used in garam masala, sambar powder, curry powder, and rasam powder.
